PSBeamtm 3.0: Next Generation Prestressed Girder Design

With its flexibility, high-performance, and rock-solid reliability, PSBeam has earned the respect of many bridge engineers throughout the country. Version 3.0 will deliver a host of new capabilities and to enhance your design process. And support for integrated design will help you in your transition toward fully integrated design office.

Major new features and product enhancements:

  • Post-Tensioning – PT is finally now in the realm of the typical design office. By segmenting your girders into multiple pieces and incorporating post-tensioning tendons, you extend your spans to 200 feet and beyond.
  • LRFD 2006 Interims – Several revisions have been made to support the AASHTO LRFD Interim Revisions through 2006. Included are the new prestress loss provisions that better model loss prediction for high-strength concrete.
  • 3D Visualization - OpenGL Graphics provides stunning 3D graphics to give physical meaning to your designs.
  • Section Property Generation – Rapid section generation and parametric capabilities have been added, as well as new library management features.
  • Load Tables – Great for preliminary design, this feature quickly generates graphs of span vs. number of strands for specified beam spacings.
  • Data Grids – Now edit and navigate through large amounts of data quickly and easily.
  • Library Features – Now access section libraries from any location. Import, view, and delete features facilitate smooth maintenance.
  • Integrated Design - As with our new ET Pier™ software, PSBeam includes support to enable it to integrate seamlessly with ParaBridge™, our new 3D bridge modeling studio software. Watch for upcoming announcements about this exciting new product.

3D Visualization provides a perspective on your designs that numbers alone cannot convey.   View the details of your designs to ensure that they are correct and constructible.

Parametric technology gives you the ability to generate a completely new section in seconds. Let PSBeam do the work: let it generate the boundary coordinates, compute section properties, and initialize a strand template.
Load tables help you rapidly determine the best section type, section depth, and girder spacing for a particular bridge site. Every graph point is a complete PSBeam design.

ET Piertm

True 3D Modeling - ET Pier features powerful parametric modeling capabilities to help you generate true 3D models of your structures fast and efficiently.

Following in the footsteps of PSBeam, our widely used precast/prestressed bridge girder design software, will be ET Pier Designer. What PSBeam has done for flexibility, ease of design, and design efficiency of bridge superstructures, we believe ET Pier will do for bridge substructures.

The general scope of ET Pier is to analyze and design the majority of bridge substructures. Basic types it can handle include wall piers, hammerhead piers, and multi-column bents. Cap beams can be prismatic or tapered. Columns can be circular or rectangular. One or more intermediate-level beams can be specified as well. Foundation types include pile, drilled shaft, and spread and pile footings.

Parametric and seamlessly integrated with PSBeam, ET Pier will set a new high water mark for bridge pier and abutment analysis and design. Request your free 20-day demo now.
